The title of my page is “CQ…Clark Here.” “CQ” is a term I borrowed from ham radio operators. It is my understanding that they often start their broadcast with those two letters. “CQ” is the phonetic equivalent of “Seek You.” Hence CQ…Clark Here.
Duty and Honor are the hallmarks of my life. I have tried to live these principles every day of my life, sometimes successfully, sometimes not so much. I have tried to be like Christ, sometimes successfully, sometimes not so much.
I started this blog on January 20, 2012. I had committed to a one-week missions trip to the Dominican Republic, but am not naturally oriented toward this type of activity. I was angry, hostile, beyond frustrated. This blog started as a cathartic release for my frustrations. I posted from the D.R. as the week went on, and the journey was pretty amazing.
Continuing the blog after the conclusion of the D.R. trip, I have moved into other areas of interest and thought. The great loves of my life are many. First and second, Christ my King, and my wife Beth (the only ones that are in order). Other loves: My children, coffee, cigars, religion, politics, micro brews, scuba diving, travel, movies, books.
I hope you enjoy my writings, and I look forward to interacting with all who wish to leave comments. My only suggestion would be that if you want to really get a feel for my mind (may God help you), start from the beginning.
Thanks for visiting, thanks for reading!
Oh, this is gonna be fun!
